Happy September! 🍂🏫🏃♀️
September is here, and with it comes back-to-school, fall sports, CMU students returning to Mt. Pleasant, and lots of exciting things happening in our community!
Labor Day Office Hours 🇺🇸
Our office will be closed Friday, September 4 and Monday, September 7 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
I have such a fantastic team, and giving them a little extra time to enjoy the holiday weekend is one small way I can say thank you for everything they do. If you are one of our customers, you have experienced firsthand just how kind, caring, and helpful they are!
While we're away, the State Farm mobile app is available to make payments, start many policy changes, access prof of coverage, and file or track claims. I love that we can offer our customers a great combination of convenient technology and real, personal help from people who care.
Fall Sports Are in Full Swing! 🏃♂️🏈
September also means fall sports, and I am spending plenty of my free time at the cross country course!
We have a wonderful cross country course right here in Mt. Pleasant, and I would love for our community to come see it in action at the Oiler Invitational on Friday, September 4. There is something special about seeing hundreds of runners, coaches, families, and spectators come together for a meet.
Football has gotten off to an exciting start too! The Mt. Pleasant Oilers had the opportunity to play at the Big House, and Beal City played at Top Taggart Field. What cool experiences for local student-athletes—to compete on a bigger stage and get a glimpse of the possibilities that may be waiting for them after high school.
A New Stage at Our House 🚗
Our family's big "next stage" lately has been driver's training!
The State Farm Steer Clear® app has been such a helpful tool. We've been able to track driving practice and use the feedback as a starting point for some really good conversations about becoming a safer, more confident driver. And there's an added bonus—eligible young drivers may qualify for a Steer Clear discount!
Every season seems to bring a new stage—whether that's starting school, heading off to college, competing on a bigger field, learning to drive, or something completely different.
I hope September finds you enjoying a great stage of life and looking forward to whatever comes next!

About Me
Mt. Pleasant is home. I grew up here, and I feel incredibly fortunate that I now get to work, raise my family, and volunteer in the same community that helped shape me.
Being a State Farm agent in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan gives me the opportunity to meet so many different people. I love welcoming people who are moving to Mt. Pleasant, meeting students and families connected to Central Michigan University, and building relationships with families who have trusted our office for generations. One of my favorite parts of my job is watching those families grow and change over the years. I am truly honored when customers chose my team and I to be there during some of the happiest moments in their lives—and during some of the hardest.
State Farm Is a Family Tradition
My connection to State Farm is personal. I proudly followed in my mother's footsteps and became a second-generation State Farm agent, but our family's history with State Farm goes back even further.
My grandfather started his State Farm auto insurance policy in 1939, and our family has relied on State Farm ever since. I love being able to represent a company with more than 100 years of history and a reputation built around helping people.
State Farm's mission is to help people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams. That mission means a lot to me because it really describes what my team and I try to do every day.
Insurance isn't just about a policy or a price. It's about knowing someone will be there when something goes wrong, helping you protect the people and things you love, and making sure you understand the coverage you're paying for.
Proud to Be Part of the Mt. Pleasant Community
When I'm not at my State Farm office in Mt. Pleasant, you can usually find me somewhere around town.
I'm a proud Mt. Pleasant parent and spend plenty of time cheering for my kids at Mt. Pleasant Public Schools and Parks & Recreation sporting events. Go Oilers!
I also enjoy giving back to the community through Rotary, supporting the work of the Isabella County Child Advocacy Center, and participating in Mt. Pleasant Chamber of Commerce meetings and community events. I believe strong communities happen when people are willing to show up, get involved, and help each other.
When life slows down a little, my favorite place to be is with my husband and kids. We love being outdoors—boating, hiking, sitting around a campfire, running, and skiing. We also enjoy reading and a good family board game night.
From Michigan State Athlete to State Farm Agent
I attended Michigan State University, where I earned my bachelor's degree and competed as a member of the rowing team. I'm proud to say I also have the distinction of being a Big Ten Champion.
The lessons I learned as a student-athlete—working hard, being part of a team, and showing up for the people who depend on you—have stayed with me throughout my career.
I've continued my education since becoming a State Farm agent and hold multiple professional licenses. I'm also fortunate to work with a wonderful team of caring insurance professionals. We genuinely enjoy getting to know our customers and helping them make decisions that are right for their families.
We Do Much More Than Auto Insurance
People often think of State Farm first for auto insurance, and we certainly love helping customers protect their cars. But our Mt. Pleasant State Farm office can help with so much more.
Whether you're renting your first apartment and need renters insurance, purchasing a condo and need condo insurance, buying a house and looking for homeowners insurance, or simply want to review the coverage you already have, we're happy to sit down and talk through your options.
We also believe strongly in the importance of life insurance. Life insurance conversations aren't always easy, but protecting the people you love is one of the most important things we help families do.
As a small business owner, I especially enjoy working with other local business owners. I understand how much time, energy, and heart goes into building a business, and our team can help with a variety of small business insurance and business insurance needs.
We also enjoy helping customers who are thinking about the next stage of life, including those exploring retirement planning and Med Sup.
